From a Single Order to a Respected Industry Leader

RealStreet was founded as KJMK Management, Inc. by Judy McGovern in 2001. Starting with a single hiring requisition for an Owners Representative in the DC Metro area, she operated from a one-room office in her home – with her dining room and kitchen doubling as conference room and cafeteria.

Over the next few years, we solidified the foundation for a successful business by making exceptional placements and great internal hires. In 2005, we moved out of the one-room office to our current headquarters, eventually adding three more offices in the Baltimore area.

Persevering through trying economic conditions, 9/11, two recessions and various government shutdowns, we became one of the most respected providers of talent our clients and employees depend upon today.

Though we’ve served the continental United States for years, we’re expanding our physical footprint to better serve the AEC community by adding offices in Denver and Fort Lauderdale.

It was my distinct pleasure working for RealStreet, aka KJMK, on separate FEMA disaster recovery assignments and long-term recovery planning assignments between October 2004 and May 2006 in the aftermath of Hurricanes Ivan, Katrina, Francis and Wilma.
